Oh Be Careful Lil Eyes

Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Wonderful words of life, but hard to do as I watch TV these days or listen to the radio...Maybe my old Sunday School Teacher had it right when she taught me the song: (sing it with me, if you remember it!) Oh be careful little eyes what you see Oh be careful little eyes what you see For the Father up above Is looking down in love So be careful little eyes what you see. Remember there was a verse for our little ears (what you hear), our little mouths (what you say), our little hands (what you do), our little feet (where you go). I think I'll try to be more careful with my little self. Thank you SS Teacher of old and Sweet Lord.

Wow, What a Ride!

These last few weeks have been VERY tumultuous! VERY BUSY and just flat out CRAZY! From Cheer/Dance Tryouts to BETA Convention to Athletic Awards to School Board meetings to Test Result Day to Academic Awards to End of the School Year to What's Up With Next School Year to Let's Start Summer School to Training for other Jobs! WOW! This does not even mention the HUSBAND, GRANDCHILDREN OR CHURCH! Double Wowwzzee If I weren't already a bit on the ZANY side I'd be headed there in a HURRY!!! I have had quite a few calls, cards, e-mails, and gentle nudges over this time and I appreciate all the smiles sent my way. So many stories yet untold. Here's one that happened just the other day in the nail salon. Isn't it funny that I ALWAYS find time for a pedicure and a manicure? At least my priorities have remained in tact. Saturday I was in the nail salon awaiting my turn, playing on my new telephone pad thingie. When an elderly lady said, "Are you reading the Bible on that thing?" I was embarrassed to say, "No mam, I'm just checking pictures of my grand youngins out on facebook. But I do have the Bible on here. What's your favorite book, chapter and verse?" After a conversation about my I-pad thingie. I showed her my regular cell phone & how I also had the Bible on it and so forth. Then the talk turned to all the young kiddos that are now carrying phones and how in "Our Day" we had no such luxury. I told her that in my opinion the young minds that I teach are completely HOOKED on their cell phones. Can't leave home with out them and heaven help them if they run low on juice. Well, I thought the world would come to an end when one of our darlings discovered she had left her charger at home while we were at the BETA Convention. I repeated something I had heard, "One teen actually wanted to unplug Grandpa's life support to plug in their charger!" I just don't know how we got along without them. She told me, "Well today there's so much more danger. What with kidnappings and all. But, I got to tell you", she went on to say, "if any of my kids were calling (children or parents) they'd probably be on the other line or texting or something and I can tell you from experience THEY WOULDN'T ANSWER THE BEEP!" Boy that's enough to beep ya! The journey is sweet, but maybe not as quiet as it use to be!!!
